Admissions Process
1. Visiting our School
Parents or legal guardians should contact the office to set up an appointment to visit Blessed Star Montessori Christian School at (850) 476-9208. During your visit, you will have an opportunity to have an informational tour of the school and an overview of the entire program. Additionally, this will provide you an opportunity to speak with the Directress, Olivia Chen to learn more about the school’s educational philosophy. It is highly recommended that a school visit is performed prior to submitting an application.
2. Admissions Interview
If you feel that your family would benefit from the Montessori experience, please call to set up an interview. We would like both parents or legal guardians, as well as the children to attend. The interview consists of a discussion about the child, the parents, and the Montessori methodology. During the interview process, the children will be invited into the classroom to explore the environment and work directly with the teacher while the parents remain with the admissions representative.
3. School Acceptance
There are several factors that determine the child’s acceptance into Blessed Star Montessori Christian School. It is important that the educational goals of the family and those of the school are matched appropriately to ensure the overall success of the student, family and the school in the education of the child. Additionally, the evaluations of the classroom teacher and the Directress are weighed as part of the overall selection process. Each family will be notified of the status of the child’s acceptance. The acceptance letter is accompanied by the Enrollment Agreement which must be mailed or hand-delivered to the school with a non-refundable tuition deposit within two weeks of acceptance.
